Tasting Notes
Caramel. A rich, deep amber that hints at the sherry hogshead finish and the warmth of the Goan climate.
Herbaceous and complex. Dried fruit, prunes and cherry syrup with a subtle earthiness that is uniquely Indian in character.

The Story
Paul John Distillery sits in Goa, where the heat, humidity and the proximity to the sea create conditions that are unlike anywhere else in the whisky world. The spirit matures at pace here. The wood gives up its character willingly. The result is whisky that punches well above its age.
Paul John has been winning awards quietly for years, collecting top marks from critics who know where to look. We found this cask in 2017 vintage and knew immediately it was something worth bringing back. Herbaceous, complex, with a fruit-forward richness that opens beautifully over time.
